Over the weekend it was reported the Pentagon paid a UK PR firm more than $500 million to create fake terrorist videos. Yes, the Pentagon, an American government entity, paid half a billion dollars in American taxpayer money to a PR firm based in the United Kingdom to create fake terrorist videos.

According to several published reports, Bell Pottinger, a global PR and communications agency based in London, was paid $540 million by groups within the US government to create fake terrorist videos that portrayed Al Qa’ida in a negative light. The firm reported to the Pentagon as well as to the CIA and the National Security Council.

You’ll find these reports published by several major international news outlets, including RT and International Business Times, and you’ll even find them on popular alternative media outlets such as Zero Hedge, Salon and The Daily Beast.

But where you won’t find this story is on any major American news outlet. In fact, I selected a group most folks would think are the major outlets average Americans get their “news” from: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Searching each and every one of these sites for the term “pentagon PR firm” returned absolutely no results relating to this story. (Proof: ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, USA Today, WSJ, NYT.)

You’d think that’d be a major American news story reported by major American news outlets, what, with their own government paying half a billion dollars in taxpayer money to create fake terrorist videos. But it wasn’t covered at all.

Not a coincidence this story wasn’t picked up by mainstream American media. That’s how this game works, and if you don’t know that by now you were probably one of the millions of Americans who were duped and distracted by the other big “news” that unfolded this weekend: Kim Kardashian robbed of millions at gunpoint in Paris. (Those are links to coverage from all of the above outlets about this story, sans MSNBC. Yes, even the "business" publication that is The Wall Street Journal covered this shit.)

First of all, if this story is even true, and I doubt that it is, but in the off chance that it’s true... good, I’m glad. Fuck Kim Kardashian, fuck the millions of dollars she’s made off of being a whore, and to hell with the rest of her worthless family too.

Second of all, how convenient that yet another fake story about fake celebrities pops up at the same exact time as a story exposing the fraud that is the US government and its political and economic system.

This happens more often than not, folks. The same weekend the story broke about the US paying Iran billions of dollars in secret payments for fuck knows what was the same weekend the NFL returned for the season and the same weekend as the 15th anniversary of 9/11. Coincidence? No way! It’s not like people watch football more than what their own government’s doing with their tax money.

By the way, the US does think Iran is a bunch of evil terrorists, right? Isn’t that how they talk about them in the media? And they profess to not negotiate with those kinds of people, right?

And by the way, isn’t the Pentagon the same group paying the NFL millions of taxpayer dollars to promote the military and the flag and patriotism and all this other nationalist/statist/collectivist bullshit?

Just to be clear, the answer to all those questions is yes.
