OCCULTURE is back to vulture your earspace and mindfuck your headspace with esoteric vibrations and mystical thoughtscapes. As always, we’re transmitting this episode to you at 528 Hz, the miracle tone, the frequency of love. You feel that? That’s a straight up violation of your heart chakra, but don’t you dare pull back from it. Cozy up to those earbuds and let these sweet sounds seduce you into a state of nirvana. And no, I’m not talking about that In Utero Nirvana, but I am talking about opening up that heart-shaped box, prying open that third eye and birthing new thoughtforms into your field of vision, you powerful creator, you.

And what better way to do that than with our guest tonight. She’s the Oracle of the Metaphorical, the Alphabet Alchemist, the Sorceress of the Thesaurus, the Metaphysical Mother Goose. She is Laurel Airica and she’s a cunning linguist -- heh -- and she’s a living, breathing personification of a wordsmith. Laurel has a Master’s degree in spiritual psychology and has worked as an intuitive counselor. She’s now an editor who helps writers better use imagery and metaphor to help elevate the frequency of consciousness in their work, combining her natural and learned abilities to help them express themselves in language that is true to their nature and communicates their message in ways that resonate with the heart-minds of their audience.

Laurel also has a performance project called WordMagic, where she performs stunning stunts of cunning punning, in vibrant verse and spontaneous, spellbinding speech that will t-r-a-n-c-e-form the way you view the w-h-i-r-l-e-d forever.

Laurel and I had a hell of a lot of fun talking about the magic and power of language; conscious thought and creation; casting spells with words; poetry as a form of alchemy; recreating the world with the word; Donald Trump’s degradation of language; and much, much more.

So let’s flip this script from prologue to dialogue, and cast this pod off into that extradimensional ether. Enjoy.
